I like what I hear, so may have to check out the reissue. It's amazing how much good music ended up getting buried because of bad promotion, management, or both. Never realized just how badly Nemperor dropped the ball, but that does explain why they didn't last very long. That label was distributed by Atlantic up until about 1978 or so when CBS took over, and I think their biggest acts at that point were Jan Hammer and Stanley Clarke. That's miles away from the Romantics and these guys. Why are record labels such strange beasts? Great piece! You'd think that the label; after letting them go and finding out that they had some sort of following, would have gone and tried to sign them up once again...something like what happened to Joan Jett/Blackhearts when all the labels were after them thanks to their breakthrough "I love Rock N Roll" Never heard of them before but I do remember the record label thanks to the Romantics.
