For many years, I’ve been posting this story on Christmas Eve. People seem to enjoy it so I thought I’d post it again this year.

May the peace of the season be yours this year, throughout 2021, and beyond. It’s been a difficult year, to say the least, but there does seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Please stay safe, and keep hope alive.

A wonderful Christmas tradition ended when David Letterman retired. Fortunately, many of Darlene’s annual appearances have been preserved on YouTube. Here is the final one, which took place on December 18, 2014.
