Oh, absolutely. I think everything sounds like a letdown after “No One,” though. That song killed me the first 100 times I heard it.

I tend to agree with you. I feel that AS I AM is the most consistent of her three albums.

God, I love the way you write.

I've always liked Alicia Keys, but “As I Am” was the first album she put out that I thought was better than average. “Like You'll Never See Me Again” definitely fueled my growing appreciation for her work (although I wish it didn't sound so much like “Purple Rain”).
