I want to thank you so much for this entry.

I've been a fan of Buckley's for years, and 'Grace' is one of those albums in my collection that I always come back to with so many good memories.

I also want to thank you for allowing me to remember how beautiful this cover is, and for sharing your touching story. It really moved me.

My dad was just committed for his severe mental illness (which is, honestly, a good thing), but this song strikes a few really emotional chords with me. Again, thank you for letting us all in with your stories, and sharing your musical inspiration.

WOW, thank you for giving me another song. I am sure it will become part of my old friends to rely on list. It is interesting that in our younger years we often used music to escape from life when we felt low. I think we are both getting a little better at allowing music to make us feel good about the joys in life even on a bad day.

Really great post, Reallllly great post,

kd lang was interviewed recently about her version of this song and she said Buckley's is the definitive version. She thinks Cohen's is boring, True! I do agree that the John Cale version comes in a close second. I am a Rufus fan but I don't even rate his version.

Actually, John Cale's version is in the movie, Rufus' on the soundtrack. I prefer John's – just ragged enough.
