I was there as well and it definitely ranks as one of the best shows I have ever seen. I went by myself which initially was a bit depressing as I wasn't going to be able to share the experience with any of my friends, but in retrospect I find it allowed me to focus my full attention on the spectacle. I do believe that the shows have slowed a bit as time has passed, maybe it was the synchronized Segway riding on stage with his daughter. Unbelievable show my friends. I saw him again later that same year at WOMAD, Buckeye Lake. I've only seen him one time since then, in 2002 at Gund Arena on the Up tour, but he never disappoints. It remains one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Very theatrical and well planned, but there was still a spontaneity to the performances that I always felt like I was a part of the show and not just a member of the crowd.
