I never understood what the fuss was about Kurt Cobain - and it always seemed to me that he became a rock god retroactively after his suicide. Certain Nevermind was a huge album, but I didn't really see all that much existing in the music beyond an excuse to dive into a mosh pit. I always thought as far as lyrics were concerned that Cobain's junked-out ramblings were similar to John Lennon's later work and no more insightful. I guess my point is that in the wake of Kurt Cobain's death it felt very much like "Paint a Vulgar Picture" brought to life, and everybody played their part to perfection - particularly the fans.
