Let me know what you think if you see it, Ed. My pal Ryan at Rotten Tomatoes loathed it — he didn't even make it all the way through — so I went in expecting the worst. It's one of the better films I've seen this year, though.

Great review, Jeff…I'd been avoiding this movie simply because I was “expecting the sort of ammo-blastin' third act” that even the promos seem to hint at. Glad to hear it's more “Cool Hand Luke” manliness rather than the overblown comic book caricatures we seem to be subjected to all too often these days…
