They seemingly know what their audience wants but every now and again deny the audience that exact thing. The recent Odd Couple Marathon? Awesome. Where's the Twilight Zone Marathon? Will we get a Honeymooners Marathon for New Years Eve? And who the hell needs a Vampire Diaries Marathon?

The 90s went without the Yule Log. Then it was back in 2001, presumably a throw to people wanting comforting memories resurrected post 9-11. Now the station is offering Yule Log inspired merchandise through their website. Who knows though... Next year, they might dump it all over again.

That's the very weird thing about WPIX… They seemingly know what their audience wants but every now and again deny the audience that exact thing. In the interim it sent out footage of a fish tank, just fish swimming around. When it resumed normal programming it was besieged by irate callers: What happened to the fish?

Surely in the fragmented digital era there has to be a Fish Channel, so your monitor can look like a fishtank 24/7.

Fine review. But as a Yule Log fan, I prefer mine in analog.

True story: A small TV station in California went down for repairs.
