I loved Martha Davis' two solo singles. Sure they weren't as edgy as her work with the Motels, but she had such an awesome voice. She could turn pedestrian material into something special. "Tell It To The Moon" was the second single and that was my favorite of the two songs, but I loved them both.

Paul Davis was mellow, for sure, but I found most of his songs to be pretty touching. ('65 Love Affair not being one of those songs...) ;)

Dave, I think I could do a point-counterpoint to so many of your disses! Wasn't she scrumptious in VALLEY GIRL??? "Say It Say It" was a favorite song of this girl I knew back in my burger flipping days, and I also remember it playing on my alarm clock radio one morning when I really did NOT want to wake up.

I also remember F.R. If Billybob can have a singing career, Mac should surely still be acting.

"Walking in my Sleep" was one of my favorite songs from that year. I don't know why. but I always really liked it. Maybe it was the cheesy Miami Vicey saxophone. When I was a kid I picked up this habit from a friend: I used to rate songs and keep my own personal running top-50 in notebooks. Don't hate me because I kept lists.

These are some great songs! I had forgotten about those Mac Davis tunes. Whatever happened to him?
