Ooooooh yes... EG Daily! Wasn't she scrumptious in VALLEY GIRL??? "Say It Say It" was a favorite song of this girl I knew back in my burger flipping days, and I also remember it playing on my alarm clock radio one morning when I really did NOT want to wake up.

I also remember F.R. David's "Words" being pretty popular on "middle of the road" or "pop adult" stations back in '83.

Thank you. And yes, I don't know why I never owned any Tourists stuff other than a simple 45 - I need to pick up the other albums now too.

These are some great songs! I had forgotten about those Mac Davis tunes. Whatever happened to him? If Billybob can have a singing career, Mac should surely still be acting.

"Walking in my Sleep" was one of my favorite songs from that year. I don't know why. but I always really liked it. Maybe it was the cheesy Miami Vicey saxophone. When I was a kid I picked up this habit from a friend: I used to rate songs and keep my own personal running top-50 in notebooks. Don't hate me because I kept lists.

Great post (as always!).....

fitting sidenote - E.G. Daily is actually currently on the Billboard Dance Club chart with the song "Beautiful"....

I might have written before but I always thought that "Boomtown" was one of the best rock albums of the 80s. Period.

And TTD always reminds me of Chicago (where I lived when I bought the CD when I heard If You Let Me Stay)....

peace out.

And to me, she'll always be the prom entertainment as Ricky attempted to seduce the French exchange student. Then we got:

Monique Junot: He keeps putting his testicles all over me.
Lane Myer: Excuse me?
Monique Junot: You know, like octopus? Testicles?
Lane Myer: Ohhhh. Tentacles. N-T. Big Difference.
