It's been interesting to catch up on this series in the last week. It's a lot of reading, but I love every minute of it.<br><br>I got the '70s box set as a gift so I didn't have to buy it. I had most of the songs. One good thing that it contains are single versions. I try to collect the single versions of all the hits, which can be very difficult for certain artists. I had the 70s box but it didn't boast anything I really needed. If I find the 80s box with the original packaging and it doesn't starve me for a week, it's mine, if only for "General Hospi-tale". The AM stations that I listened to at that time all played the AC hits (Anne Murray, Kenny Rogers and the others) and none of the rock stuff, while the FM top 40 stations played AC/DC, the Vapors and other rock songs that barely hit the top 40 (if they hit at all) and none of the AC charters.
