Dave Steed is all about music; 80's and metal to be exact. His iPod will shuffle from Culture Club to Slayer and he won't blink an eye. He's never heard Astral Weeks but thinks "Dazzey Duks" by Duice is the bomb. It's an odd little corner of the world he lives in.

I remember the full court press from the promotional team at WEA surrounding that Frente record. “Labour of Love” is one of those tunes that never received its due.

    Also, EURODANCE!

I remember early on hearing “Bizarre Love Triangle” on WLIR while visiting NYC. “And now, 2 minutes and 20 seconds of Frente.” I was in love instantly, and the full album didn’t disappoint. While your point is well taken, it’s such a great cover that I see no downside for them using it as a hook for territories where the band wasn’t known.

Congratulations on finding the two most awesome pictures of ILC-era Jamie Foxx despite your eye problems.

“Bizarre Love Triangle” was huge in Orlando, but sadly once it left the airwaves Frente was never heard from again.

I never felt Aretha’s version of “A Deeper Love” either, but then I’ve never been a fan. Though Clivilles and Cole also produced her version, their original version from 1991 with Deborah Cooper did excite me, however. And to be precise, “Don’t You Want Me” is italo-house. ;)

It was awesome to see 4hero got sooo close to enter the charts, since they are some of my favourite electronic musicians ever. Yet, I had never heard “Mr. Kirk” or “Mr Kirk’s Nightmare” (I do not know hat the actual title is), since this way just before they became drum and bass innovators.
