Just watched last night's epi (4/27) and I guess I'm kinda right about the whole Rebecca not being a Walker thing. When will she tell them the truth though?

I also love the 'thirtysomething of the Aughts' vibe, especially with Olin and Wettig (and Skerritt) and have grown to like Calista Flockhart again. Also remarkable is that three of the leads (Joe, Sarah and Kevin are all doing superb jobs of cocncealing Aussie/British accents).

I haven't seen Sunday's epi yet (TiVo'd it) but it seems like Ken Olin's emergence on camera is merely to offer alternative paternity for Rebecca which will then greenlight the inevitable Justin/Rebecca hookup. Those two have acted a lot more like jealous lovers than platonic siblings. Thier realtionship has always had the vibe of a John Irving novel.

The Isaac/Nora relationship feels forced to me. Almost as forced as the aborted Chevy Chase/Sally Field pairing.

That said, I'm glad it's back, it also has a "Once and Again" (another ABC nighttime soap) feel to go with it's resemblance to thirtysomething.

I'm a huge fan of this show, and a big part of the reason is because it's got the '00s version of that thirtysomething vibe. I found the idea of a Sally/Calista series intolerable at the start, but after a number of speed bumps in season one it has really hit a groove.

The biggest flaw at the start was the whole Calista-as-GOP-talking-head idea -- she was never convincing, and the producers obviously weren't going to let her go the full Coulter/Malkin monty. So it's good she dropped that to work for/get nasty with a relatively moderate Republican.

With Ken Olin coming on, Rob Lowe finally getting to run for president, and the whole Justin/Rebecca thing about to blow up in a funky near-incest way, Bros&Sis has really become a thirtysomething/West Wing-hybrid liberal wet dream. And what's wrong with that?

Rob Lowe's seeking the Republican nomination, and from all appearances he's about to lose it in the next few episodes.

anything where ken olin, and to a lesser extent patricia wettig, is involved isn't too terrible. but this show has jumped off the rails long ago. sally field is chief reason why i cannot deal with this series; she chews up a scene like no other. and it's painful. and then there's ally mcbeal. need i say more?

to be honest, i tolerated most of it because the cast is mostly great and the writing is excellent, but rob lowe seeking the democratic nomination rings so false it's almost an insult. i would have opted for governor. i can get behind that. but president? please! the show has its good points, and like i said, ken olin asked to jump in front of the camera is always a plus, but it still has a daytime soap 'feel' that drives me crazy. but i will continue to watch - because i care...
