I'm gonna love this column. As a poor-to-adequate guitar player, I know all too well the attraction the thing holds. I also know how ridiculously insane-making it can be to watch your favorite guitar heroes (with, like y'know, real guitars) doing what they do, make it look effortless like it was just moving your eyes around in your head, then be unable to approximate that on your own.

Like the time I was screaming at the top of my lungs trying to duplicate one of David Gilmour's riffs, “It's only three (EXPLETIVE! EXPLETIVE! EXPLETIVE INVOLVING BARNYARD ANIMALS AND A PARAPLEGIC!) notes! How is he doing that?!”
