In the early 90s Jay-Z lived in my building here in Brooklyn. On one of the songs of this album he actually mentions the address, referring to it as his “stash spot.” I'm so proud. (Terence Blanchard also lived here. So did Lord Jamar, who played “Supreme Allah” on the HBO show OZ. He lived in what's now our crib–and the building owner joked that it was definitely a stash spot, not that I've found any evidence.)
