Please do a part two. This is what is great about this site, you get the mainstream and the throw-back post (i.e. Bottom Feeders), but you also give exposure to band outside of the Indie Blog scope (i.e. Power Pop).

I wish I could play that SYGC cut on the air. Elia evokes a far less self-conscious Jarvis Cocker. I hope they'll be able to make a fresh start come the new year.

Great choices all around. Although I can't say I'm crazy about Elia's singing, I thoroughly enjoyed each of these. You've got a good ear for commercial viability by actual talents…it's a shame that more people watch American Idol than read this. Thanks for sharing, Ken.

Thanks! Pugwash was a great find for me, and as I said, this is the perfect album for catching up and going forward. I immediately went out and got the older albums as well.

Now that's a bloody good post. Thanks for some of the new finds. Pugwash is one of my hidden gems of the 00's. Also check out the tracks – “Apples”, “Anchor”, and “This Could Be Good”. Great band and they are so right, it is nice to be nice.
