i agree w/jefito, sugar sugar sux. it's too sickeningly sweet. i do appreciate the youtube clips, and extensive research into wikipedia…i find that stuff interesting…well done, jefito

Great stuff here, Jason! The Chicago music charts at that time were pretty interesting too. Although it didn't make the national Top 10 (but spent a few Top 10 weeks on both WLS and Super CFL), another great tune from that week was “You, I” by The Rugbys, a one-hit wonder from Nashville (of all places!) that sounds suspiciously close to Rare Earth.

That Three Dog Night clip wasn't a promotional video – it was from a short-lived prime-time TV show on ABC called “The Music Scene,” which was noted for putting their guest performers in front of goofy set designs.
