Carolyn Edwards was one of the founders of the popular L.A. post-punk band, 3D Picnic, and also fronted Spindle, an alternative pop band who played to rave reviews. She has also played keyboards for Silver Lake pop heroes The Negro Problem.

Carolyn now performs as a a singer/songwriter/pianist, whose darkly humorous, piano-based pop songs range in subjects as diverse as Monica Lewinsky, romantic disappointment, werewolves and the Prozac generation. Her self-titled CD on True Classical CDs, home to L.A. pop-art luminaries WACO, Listing Ship, the Lullabies and Azalia Snail, will be available in stores 6/13/06 (distributed by Burnside). The CD features performances from some of L.A.’s finest musicians Á¢€” Brian Wilson’s band, The Wondermints, Heather Lockie from The Eels and Listing Ship, Marc Doten from Doublenaught Spycar and Paul Lacques from I See Hawks In L.A.
