Somewhere on the list of life's regrets...selling my Plush 2000 amplifier back in 1980 when I moved. 200w head, 4x12 cabinet. Unmatched tone and sustain. I've never captured that sound again and haven't seen them on eBay either. Better than my Marshall.

This is a great feature! It is always a kick to find out that artists that you are a fan of are fans of other artists that you are a fan of! Awkwardly worded sentences aside, Peter and Eric, thanks for participating. As one who has always tried not to lose the child in myself, I can't wait to hear the new followup to 'Mavericks'...

Saw the post-Stamey dBs in May of 1985 at the Living Room in Providence. I got there just in time to hear them open with "She's Got Soul"; the thought of it still gives me goosebumps. My own self-created "Best of the dBs" would definitely make my Desert Island 5. Thanks, Peter for all the great music. In your honor, I'll be recording "Think Too Hard" as part of my song of the week project next week.

Peter Holsaple!!! When I was in high school I sang a cover of "She Was the One" at one of our choir concerts and it impressed of of the freshman girls so much that she started throwing herself at me pretty relentlessly. The age stretch was a bit too much, but a number of years later I heard she was working as a teacher at that very same high school and got fired when she was caught having sex with another teacher in one of the classrooms. So I think we can say in my case it would have been a sure thing. Which means that, by proxy, your music got me laid. I owe you a beer.

Peter Holsapple is among my personal gods. (Though he was gracious enough to convince me, on the dB's message board, to pony up some $54 for a "Like This" CD a couple years ago, and now it's been reissued. Bastard! Having heard the glory of Peter and Chris playing together at McCabe's right around that same time, I'll await their new CD with bated breath--Mavericks is probably in my Top 5 for a desert isle.

It was great to be reminded of Secrets of the Beehive, too. Haven't listened to that in many years.
