Today is Take Your Child to Work Day, so it made sense to extend this to aspects of my life beyond my place of employment.

My kids have been dying to do a show since I started it in January. I’m frankly surprised that I waited this long to get them on the mic (or in this case, USB headset, which is painfully apparent). Once we got to the end of March, and I decided to cut the show back to once every two weeks, it made sense when to give them their turn.

My son Garrett’s picks are very much of the ‘apple doesn’t fall far from the tree’ variety. Johnny Marr, Kaiser Chiefs, and the long-overdue Dizzy Heights debut of Daft Punk all appear in his sets.

My daughter Amy, on the other hand, is a pure pop girl, rebelling against her alt-rock upbringing, though she did invite CHVRCHES to the party. How well they get along with Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande is anyone’s guess.

Thank you, as always, for listening.
