Which is why I couched what I said as being a mere part of me fueled by cynicism and the bizarre nature of the history of MJ that we DID know about.

However, considering that celebrities of Jackson's caliber live in a world where they can not only say and do often what they like, but can get other people to say and do what they'd like to have said and done, my cyncial side remains a bit dubious as to the true independence of any “independent physicians” who have given him a clean bill of health recently, esp. when common sense would lead many to conclude that the frail, gaunt man who only went out in public in his last few years in a wheelchair, a doctor's mask and sheltered from the sun by an umbrella probably was not in “good health”.

If you can believe what you read in the papers (a stretch, I know), the promoters of the upcoming concerts had Michael undergo a four hour medical examination by independent physicians, and found him to be in good health. Given his history and reputation, it is unlikely anyone would back him without that assurance, so I find the report semi-credible. Maybe, like Heath Ledger, he just dosed himself with too much of whatever he was dosing himself with.
