Mitch always made it wild but when he tells you his arm is dead, why not leave in the guy who just mowed down three batters? BTW Roger Mason has disappeared. No one can find him anywhere for any reunion or interview or anything. Weird huh?

I actually had a talk with a Phillies pitcher, who will remain nameless, about that “going with what got you there” call by Fregosi and sure enough he told me that Mitch said clearly there was nothing in the tank and that Mason was strong, to leave him in, but Fregosi feared for his job and reputation so he went with the call that wouldn't get him fired. Totally agree with you on the Mason call; Fregosi fucked that one up, but then again, Williams was his go-to guy that year, and more often than not rewarded that trust.

I hate Joe Carter.

Rob
EightE1

That '93 team was so much fun to watch, even more than the championship team last year.
