McConaughey says in the featurette that making Surfer, Dude was â€œthe most fulfilling, creative experience Iâ€™ve ever had.â€ Shooting a movie in Malibu with your friends does sound like a nice way to spend 28 days in the spring ——————- no kidding!!!

No one should listen to this bullshit review. This movie is art and passion brought to life, entranced with the humor and love shared between good friends. It has soul, heart, and purpose.

I pity whoever wrote this article, in that they have not yet begun to experience life. I suggest you go stick your toes in the sand, feel the wind, and start to live.

Surfer, Dude was one of the best movies i've ever seen. I recommend it to everyone.

It is supposed to be good. It sounds like “They Shoot Horses, Don't They?” updated to the era of wacky endurance contests that were promoted by so many radio stations in the '90s. I just wonder what S.R. Bindler was doing between '97 and '08. Maybe McConaughey, his old high school friend, gave him a much-needed break by asking him to direct “Surfer, Dude.”

You should OWN “Hands on a Hard Body,” then you should host an annual viewing party where guests dress up as the various contestants. It's genius, seriously. I love it, I own it on VHS, and remain infuriated at myself that I never upgraded to DVD. If you can find a copy to rent, definitely do so.
