He does seem to be scrambling to play with the big boys, but the lack of empathy the viewer feels towards this hodgepodge of characters as the movie quickly becomes (degenerates) into a war/horror movie is just not there.<br><br>Good film in the end, but not great, because there's no human connection. You can stand up and walk away from this film without any feeling at all. I agree that Tunnel Rats was infinitely more watchable than Boll's other films.
