I can remember being able to draw monsters, spaceships and superheroes pretty well, but all my friends asked me, first and foremost, if I would draw naked women for them. I always resisted. Call it some twisted principles, or a need for propriety, or whatever, but it seems hilarious to me that I was only maybe thirteen at the time and was already being propositioned to "sell out".

A side note that only just occurred to me: I was a fairly decent drawer at a young age. And the snowman seems to be trying to keep his balance and looking right into the holder's eyes, as if to say, "You may be holding up my world, buddy, but who's holding up yours?"

One can see that sense of foreboding in the snowglobe drawing, the darker colors coming in like a storm… And the snowman seems to be trying to keep his balance and looking right into the holder's eyes, as if to say, “You may be holding up my world, buddy, but who's holding up yours?”

By: Ben W

<guid
