THIS is always what I remember whenever I think of Freakazoid, taking the tried and true, and blowing it all out of proportion. I await the second season with ever-mounting impatience. Nice tribute, sir!

Oh man. I LOVED Freakazoid. I always figured that after the Anamaniacs turned a profit, WB went to Speilberg and said, “fine, do whatever you want.”

It was absurdist and deeply weird. Not at all for kids.

I loved all the Spielberg/WB efforts in the '90s (Batman, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, etc.), but never got into Freakazoid for some reason. It seemed like it was trying a little too hard I guess. That said, anything with Ricardo Montalban is worth seeing at least once.
