But slagging on Smokey and the Bandit? OK go ahead and attack the other two, but leave Big and Little Enos alone! And just because I live for these kind of movies the 3rd Cannonball Run was called Speed Zone! and had John Candy driving with Dan Akroyd's wife (I always think of the scene where he's about to get run over and he keeps turning up the heat to cool the engine). Not great but still a Cannonball movie. As far as under-appreciated road movies go, what about Until the End of the World or True Romance (instead of Dusk to dawn but I think you just wanted to pick QT's acting)?
