He does not come off very well. Now that everyone's seen Borat, it's difficult not to sit through Bruno wondering which people were in on the joke and which weren't. (The dominatrix was in; the model apparently was not, but apparently the film takes the shape it does in part because the fashion industry figured things out and forbade Cohen from getting any further than the opening catwalk scene.)<br><br>It's too bad the scene with LaToya Jackson (similar to the Paula Abdul scene) had to be cut from the film because of Michael's death. He would have barely squeaked by doing Borat, having really only the Ali G. Show to rat him out. Since then, he's been in several high profile roles, married Isla Fisher, and his Bruno hijinks were frequently reported on. <br><br>All to say that, yes, I know the world is full of stupid and ignorant people, but by now they should have seen Sacha Baron Cohen coming. Otherwise, these antics reveal themselves mostly staged by actors or I'm frightened by the proof of national cluelessness on display.
