Childish Gambino, the moniker for actor Donald Glover, has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in music. With a unique blend of hip-hop with multiple genres, combined with lyrical genius, Childish Gambino has gone from a viral cult following to a mega sensation. Spin Magazine praises, “…[his EP’s] all have showcased Glover’s fiercely clever, plugged-nose flow, which recalls both Lil Wayne’s verbal skywriting and Kanye West’s vulnerable-braggart defensiveness.”
Childish Gambino has released two mixtapes,” I Am Just A Rapper” and “I Am Just A Rapper 2” and in March 2011, Childish Gambino released an untitled EP that featured the hit “Freaks and Geeks.” Most recently, Childish Gambino wrapped the sold out I AM DONALD TOUR, played to over 10,000 people at the Bonnaroo Music Festival and is continuing to wow crowds at the travelling Rock The Bells Festival through October. Following his sold-out IAMDONALD Tour and dates on the travelling hip-hop festival Rock The Bells, Childish Gambino will hit 11 cities along the East Coast for the Sign Up Tour. The Sign Up Tour kicks off in Memphis, TN on October 5th and wraps on November 12th at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA as he prepares for the release of his debut album CAMP, due out November 15th, 2011.
