I call it the “Has-Been Syndrome”. Once an artist is no longer the hot, new thing and once they've stopped having hits they are utterly discarded by spoiled American music fans. It has nothing to do with the artist's talent or the quality of their later releases. It has more to do with greedy record companies, bought-off radio stations (with their computerized playlists) & so-called “fans” who only care about what's in style this week.

This doesn't happen as much in other countries. Music enthusiasts in the rest of the world are devoted and they don't care when your last hit was or if you ever have another one. They only care about the music.

Great album, and I've said before that it's absolutely inexplicable that it didn't get a US release. What, like Culture Club isn't a marketable entity? Boy George is only, like, synonymous with '80s music!
