the first time i heard that song, it was late one night in high school as my friends and i were driving home from a party. we were stopped waiting for a train and this song came on the radio and flipped our sh!t. we started yelling and throwing stuff in the car like the apes in 2001. when i got home i had to call the radio station to find out who it was.

Clearly, you didn't listen to KFRC when you were growing up. Then again, you weren't even born when the Deodato tune came out. Oh, and I got this gem from our friends at ye olde Wiki: <br><br>"His funky version of Richard Strauss' Also Sprach Zarathustra won the 1973 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance and went No. 2 in the pop charts in the US and No. 7 in the UK."
