(I just remembered the band while watching a Flintstone Xmas with my kids. I absolutely loved "Wonder Where You Are", and have found a new writer to follow, and the mp3 in the process. The anecdotes are especially interesting since Michael Phillip Wojewoda is an unheralded genius (I didn't know he produced this), and the Change of Heart (Smile), and Rheostatics (Whale Music), albums Paul refers to are easily the most life-changing albums I've ever come experienced. (I listened to Smile every night before bed for nearly 2 years)

Thanks again for the great work, now I've got a backlog to catch up on

Just found this website and this article through a yahoo search for the Gravelberry's. I'm slightly biased though, as I'm the "journeyman drummer" on the recording, and I too love this record (look at me the old shcool terminology guy).

If there are any interested parties, I have released two full length CDs under the banner 'Clockwise' following in the same songwriting vain that we enjoyed with the Gravelberrys. Truth be told, Paul has very much influenced my songwriting style. You can check us out on MySpace.

Cheers pop music fans!

Claude Kent

Great to see people are uncovering and rediscovering great Canadian power-pop. Seems criminal stuff like this didn't get a wider audience back then – though it was hard enough to hear Game Theory or Uncle Green, nevermind stuff from Canada.

Whoah, nice little bag o' gems you've spilled here.
