There's no Chilton lyric to contrast with "So you find him attractive/Well, what if he is?"<br><br>I love Radio City something fierce, except for the harmonica on Life Is Whyte. A powerful version of that needs to be made without it, because it's an otherwise killer song. I was reminded of the genius of Chris Bell recently when (no shit) I watched "Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist" and "Speed of Sound" was the first song you heard before anything appeared on the screen. Whatever you might think of the movie (and I have my serious problems with it, though I relate to its characters WAAAAY too much), it made everything that unfolded after that so much better.<br><br>Bell is the entire reason that I like "No. 1 Record" so much better than "Radio City," although I am an avowed Alex Chilton freak. The combination of those two really may be the closest we'll ever come to Lennon and McCartney.<br><br>RIP, Chris. We miss you. Thank you.
