I also immensely loved the first two seasons and found them by turns hilarious, provocative, and poignant. Season three had its moments, too. But season four--perhaps ironically, considering the situational overhaul--just feels like treading water. And, much as I love Mary-Louise Parker, I'm only half as interested in the characters this season now that Conrad and Heylia are gone. The whole thing's sort of gone limp without them. So I just finished season three, and was excited to watch season four only to see how the writers wrote their way out of this cliffhanger. In the past, they have had a knack of getting out of the most hair situations in a humorous way. Sounds like they lost that talent. I will probably still get this season when it hits netflix, but I might be more cautious. This is unfortunate, I have been watching these on a netflix basis.
