I've been a big Eddie Schwartz fan ever since I picked up the "No Refuge" album in college. I have his first three albums on vinyl, as well as "Tour de Schwartz" and a compilation import on CD. The compilation has his original version of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot".

I think Scwartz got a little more play around Detroit since we're right across the river from Canada. I remember a Canadian video show that you could get in Detroit which showed clips from Schwartz, Lawrence Gowan, Honeymoon Suite, Platinum Blonde and a lot of other artists that never quite made it as big in the U.S.

I completely agree that "All Our Tomorrows" is the perfect example of a song type you just can't find these days. So is "Don't Shed a Tear", for that matter. Once Grunge buried the keyboards, they never seemed to completely fight their way back to respectability. At least not in the pop/rock world.

Glad to meet somebody else who digs the Eddie Schwartz. If the man sees an uptick in sales of his back catalog this spring, we deserve a commission, don't we?

As for "Only the Lonely Heart Sees," you're kinder to it than I was. It came up on my laptop music stash the other day and was swiftly deleted. Three hundred gigs for music, but not 4.2 MB for terminal blandness.

That Carrack video is virtually identical to "(I) Just (Died) in your (Arms (Tonight))" if memory serves. Must've been a hip new video effect at the time.
