It's actually a decent album. Of course, he had his genius brother Brian as a teacher. I met Dennis at the old Peaches records store in Dearborn Mi when he was out promoting it after the release. He was very friendly , gave a firm handshake and posed for a photo with me (and you didn't have to buy anything). Like I said, it's a good album.

I wasn't able to find a copy of this today (stores in Toronto didn't seem to have gotten it in yet), but comparing this version for “He's A Bum” and my bootlegged version – wow! This sounds like the same take, but the one I had seemed like a copy so far removed from the original master that it might as well be a different song!

Can't wait to get this on three LPs!

I'll have you know that I was intending on buying this set… some day. However reading this piece coerced, nay, forced me to buy it today.

I'm glad I have it but, damn, thirty bucks. When's this Popdose thing supposed to make us all solid gold Gs in the 'Netterhood? (Who spiked my Diet Coke???)

God, "He's a Bum" DOES sound like Duit On Mon Dei-era Nilsson, doesn't it?

I've been meaning to scare up a copy of Pacific Ocean Blue for a long time now- when it originally came out, I hadn't been listening to the Boys very long at all. However, I've been among those who have belittled his singing- his vocals on "Cuddle Up" and "Make it Good" are excruciating These sample cuts, though, sound much better.
