I was at that show. One side had booze the other did not. I was on the did not, but my god that was a great show. Lived in Peterborough at the time.

Damn, I think you're the first person I've 'met' that saw the George-era Little Feat. I won't tell you how old I was when he died, it'd only make you feel older, no doubt.

So, where would that rank in your "top concert" rankings? It'd have to be somewhere up at the top...

I first saw Little Feat on the "Let It Roll" tour, at Franklin Pierce State College in Rindge, NH...I lived across the lake from the college (w/ our boy Mojo for a little while, in fact), and I've seen them a bunch of times since (mainly in the late '80s/early '90s). Great band - all the players are dynamite musicians, of course. And some solid songs, too ("Texas Twister," etc.). But, even forgiving their '80s production excesses, and being a longtime fan of the band (on vinyl, cassette and CD), even I could tell something was missing. That something was Lowell George, of course.

You may be right about "Waiting for Columbus" being the best live album ever made (though "Live At Leeds" is at the top of that list, too).

You're right, it would be. If only I could remember enough details to fill more than a paragraph. Lowell wore white painter's overalls, and looked kind of like the Pillsbury Doughboy. I remember that.
