I remember a bit of controversy with this album when it was originally released. Early cassette issues included a cover version of the Rolling Stones' "Star Star" (better known as "StarBEEPer") as a bonus track. Apparently this didn't sit well with some folks and the label ceased making cassette copies with the offending bonus track. Eventually the track returned as a bonus track on the 1998 CD reissue and the recent two-on-one CD reissue coupled with "Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth".

Totally understand 'bout the email thing. Yes, post an address and I'll get you the track, without the groove in question. No problem.

Rob
EightE1

Hi Rob, yes I very much would. Though if I could have nitetime sans the locked groove it would be fabulous. When I bought my CD copy of "Album" I paid a zillion dollars at Tower in NYC for a Japanese import circa 1991 or so. I can post one of my email addys here; one that if it were filled with spam wouldn't make me crazy because I use it only for replying to forms or things were email is required. pls let me know thanks - lisa marie

Another home run! "Fake Friends" has been an ipod favorite for me for awhile but I forgot all about the awesome "French Song". I saw her on this tour...I think the opening act was Chuck Berry. Keep up the good work!

3:45, actually. The "Album" CD I have has three bonus tracks, "Nitetime," "Everyday People (dance mix)," "and "Locked Groove." For the latter, it sounds like they fade up the end of "Nitetime" for about 45 seconds, and the rest is the repeated "locked groove" Lisa Marie was talking about. For the next three stinkin' minutes. Reminds me of Jason Hare's experience with "Metal Machine Music."

Lisa Marie, if you seriously want the MP3, I can get it to you.

Rob
EightE1

Agreed - "cover" was just a snappier way of saying "retreating back to songs written by others for her."

Yeah, but Bruce wrote "Light of Day" for Joan Jett, so I wouldn't consider it a cover song. In fact, I would consider any version Bruce does a cover.

I'll shut up now.
