I listened to Extra Play a lot when it came out, and never caught any "Christian overtones" (of course I was in middle school, so allegory may have been too subtle for me).<br><br>I always assumed their story was another "Band gets a taste of fame and lead singer becomes an insufferable prick so they dump him or he runs away to be a solo star" (see Van Halen, Haircut 100, Commodores, etc.). Then band carries on without him (and in Haircut 100 and the Commodore's cases, like Kaja, someone else in the band took over vocals). Where did you read about the religious views of the band?
