I saw them in Spain and they were assholes. The lp were great but they definetly NOT. To reach olympus you need both.

Yes, yes and YES! As it happened, I heard “Crystal Clear” first (quite big on the radio in L.A. back then as I recall). I loved the album, but when I got “Pop Said” I realized just how much better they were than the other similar bands of the era you mentioned. Why “Burst,” my fave song on the disc, wasn't HUGE is beyond me. The reissue is really something though with all of those bonus tracks. It's like having a second “first” album …

What, you couldn't post this in May…?

I bought “Pop Said…” solely on the strength of “Let's Go Round There,” which I saw on the late, great “120 Minutes,” and I proceeded to pick up both of the band's subsequent releases as soon as they came out. I had SUCH a crush on Andrea Lewis…but, basically, there's a trend of my getting crushes on any blonde with a British accent. (I was also swooning over Patsy Kensit at around the same time.)
