I grew up with red hair and freckles… LOTS of freckles. As a result, I got my fair share of teasing when I was a kid. Fortunately, it was rarely mean-spirited.

(And even though my hair is a couple of shades darker now, the freckles are here to stay!)

I was going to comment on this, and how I 'dmarried a redhead myself and never looked back.

Then I listened to the song and decided I'd be lumped in with the creepy obsessive old guys.

The thing is, it reminds me of some ancient blues cut I can't put my finger on but the more I Google around, the more it's confirmed a Springsteen original about his wife! The structure and licks and all that are all blues, though, and I know he's got plenty of appreciation for that--I especially like his reinterpretation of the Jimmy Reed CLassic "I Ain't Got You."
