The fact is, he is a proud Christian, but doesn't write about it in the sense that mainstream CCM acts do. He's more like Bruce Cockburn in that respect. Of course that one was produced by the great Buddy Miller, and Emmylou Harris sang on the beautiful “Resplendent”.

I think what has hurt Bill was that he was pigeonholed into the Christian Music category, and that has kept people away from him. The fact is, he is a proud Christian, but doesn't write about it in the sense that mainstream CCM acts do. He's more like Bruce Cockburn in that respect.

The Vigilantes of Love album "Audible Sigh" is in my top five of all time. The fact that he remains so unrecognized is more than an oversight. it almost reaches the level of a crime.
