Most people know Yes and the Moody Blues, but I only know the others from what I've read. I keep hearing good things about the Mars Volta, but this song does nothing for me. I guess I just don't hear the melody you were referring to. On the other hand, the Sylvan and Porcupine Tree songs aren't bad. I definitely hear the Pink Floyd influence in "Prodigal".
