I know you were limited to six, but how could you have skipped Emmylou's singing with Buddy and Julie Miller? They harmonize on too many tracks to list, but “Forever Has Come To An End”, from the “Buddy & Julie Miller” album, is especially good – check it out.

I got to see that tour, and they did a good job together. Interestingly enough, Harris was less energetic on stage than Knopfler.

Well that goes without saying. Buddy produced the album, and Julie sings on it. All that aside, Bill Mallonee is one of the great American songwriters, and criminally overlooked. The guy actually has to sell of his guitars and other equipment to stay alive these days. If you get a chance, he's got tons of solo stuff to check out.

Wonderful selection. Emmylou has contributed to so many great songs. If you can find it, one of her finest efforts is on the song Resplendent on the Vigilantes of Love album “Audible Sigh.”
