Here is our top NFL play this weekend…..Take Baltimore -3 over Denver (Sunday 1 pm CBS) Top Game of the Week. This game features two of the best defenses in the league, but it is much more important to Baltimore, as they are battling Pittsburgh and Cincinnati for the top spot in the AFC North. QB Joe Flacco is playing outstanding football in just his second year in the league, throwing 11 touchdowns with just five interceptions. Both teams enter this game off of a bye, but the Ravens needed it more having lost three straight games. I am still not sold on QB Kyle Orton and expect his true colors to shine before the complete season runs its course. The Broncos luck runs out and the Ravens reestablish their dominant defense to win this game by double digits. Baltimore 27, Denver 17.

And looking at the lines this week I think the dogs will win a good amount of games. panthers, falcons, bears, seahawks money line seem to be good value

Despite favorites usually beating the spread my account has almost doubled (50ish to $100 so not big money). Betting mainly on underdogs to win in about 30% cfb 70% NFL the dogs do seem to have value if you pick the right games.

Don't doubt the Saints! I was writing that game off in the 1st half, but boy can they score points. That was a fantastic game.

I think you're spot on with the Giants this week. I see the line is at -1 right now. Back up the truck for this one!

And, we're still getting points on the Broncos. That is just amazing to me, but I'll take it. We'll see how Flacco handles a real defense this week...

I'm going to stick by my "don't bet on games with double-digit spreads" this week, but if I weren't, I'd be all over the Cardinals and Chargers. Those two games have blowout written all over them...

Yes, that's exactly what it means. And yeah, in any given week there are a few games where the actions is lopsided enough to break 90% and the books don't sweat it too much because it tends to even out most of the time – even when the Patriots went 18-1 in 2007 they were only 10-9 against the spread. This season has been a pretty big

I don't really have easily accessible historical data about the percentages of bets (as of yet). During the offseason I might try to put that together. I'm also thinking about developing a geographical factor (i.e. distance traveled and time change) to add to Gamblor's calculations. Not sure if there will be any correlation; for ages I expected the bye to be a significant factor but I've finally accepted that it's not.
