K-19 is OK, but terribly depressing. The standout sequence is crewmembers (including Peter Sarsgaard) getting fried by radiation as they attempt to repair their corroded nuclear sub, not a pleasant spectacle to watch. In no way was it a summer action movie.

Renner's also a musician. His website says that samples will be available “coming soon,” but that was in 2006. He's definitely “it” now.

What did you think of “K-19″? I thought it was a good movie, but it wasn't an ACTION movie, and unfortunately that's how it was marketed. Ford doesn't need to do a Russian accent ever again, but once you got past that, it was a good performance.

I vaguely remember Renner from a Bravo series called “The It Factor” earlier this decade, where aspiring actors were followed around on auditions. He seemed like a nice guy, so it's good to see him getting praise for this role.
