But comics buffs are more forgiving of this basic logic stuff than we are.<br><br>This Hulk isn't faring much better than the last one at the boxoffice. Beyond the fanboys, and the opening weekend "wow" factor--"let's see this week's smash-'em-up-movie, now!"--the general audience just doesn't give a damn about these one-dimensional characters. Universal and Marvel have learned the same costly lesson twice. That mystified me, too. But comics buffs are more forgiving of this basic logic stuff than we are.

This Hulk isn't faring much better than the last one at the boxoffice. Beyond the fanboys, and the opening weekend “wow” factor–”let's see this week's smash-'em-up-movie, now!”–the general audience just doesn't give a damn about these one-dimensional characters. Universal and Marvel have learned the same costly lesson twice.

Even William Hurt, as the evil general-dad, was utterly stripped of the brooding presence that has sustained him for 30 years.<br><br>What I couldn't figure out is why, every time Hulk needed to get the hell out of Dodge (or Rio, or Culver U.), he would start running--and the next thing we'd see was Bruce waking up...THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY! The dude ran from Rio to Mexico! Couldn't he have found a single nice bit of un-raped rainforest to hide out in, and saved up his energy? Bob no like WordPress. Bob angry. Bob SMASH!!!!
