But that's par for the course. Was there a single reason for a non-evangelical to vote for Bush in '04? No, there wasn't — he was already the worst president ever — but the Repubs convinced just barely enough folks that Kerry was unacceptable. (That's assuming Ohio wasn't stolen, which is a big “if.”) That's pretty much how Bush “won” in 2000 as well–not through any positive attributes of his own, but on Gore's imagined flaws (and a massive thumb on the scale in Florida).

That the undecideds are still undecided is the most frustrating thing here. Have they lived in this country for the last eight years? Hell, what about the last eight months? Or are we back to that Ack-Blay Ing-Thay again?

I'm hearing a lot of reasons from my bullet point-spouting Republican friends why I shouldn't vote for Obama. What I'm not hearing, though, are reasons why I should vote for John McCain. “Vote for him because…he's not the other guy.” That pretty much says it all, doesn't it?
