Republicans were pushing for sticking to the letter and spirit of the law when it came to everyone but the military, and when Joe was shouted down by someone in the Republican camp about denying the vote to “men and women who put their lives on the line for our country,” Lieberman went from “Well, if we’re going be strict followers of the law, the rules ought to apply equally,” to “Oh, I couldn’t agree with my Republican friend more. Of course we have to make an exception for our men and women in the military! Screw him, and screw those idiot Connecticut voters (now suffering buyers remorse) who sent him back to the Senate. And screw Harry Reid, for being too much of a coward to turn his back on Lieberman and strip him of his committee assignments. Having grown up in Connecticut, I simply cannot overstate how much of an embarrassment Joe Lieberman has become. Screw him, and screw those idiot Connecticut voters (now suffering buyers remorse) who sent him back to the Senate.
