Here is an exclusive premiere for Popdose: Canadian country-rocker Damhnait Doyle’s (pronounced DAV-net) new single, ”That’s What You Get,” taken from her forthcoming album, Liquor Store Flowers.  Ms. Doyle looks back on the pain of a lost love with striking conviction and a commanding vocal performance – backed by a driving rhythm section and emphatic guitar work.

In Ms. Doyle’s own words, “”That’s What You Get” is about putting someone else’s needs and wants before your own, – until it dawns on you that when you don’t look out for yourself, you are disposable.   This song was literally physically painful to write – but I knew this album wasn’t worth making, unless it was all laid out bare.”

An astute obervation; now see what you think after what you’ve read and what you will hear.

Liquor Store Flowers, will be released on Friday, April 12th, 2019.
