Wow, thanks a lot! Long story short: I mainly write two series — Chart Attack and Mellow Gold — and it's been a long time since I did the latter, so I've been trying to do those more often since last year all I did was Chart Attacks. (There's no room in my schedule to do both in a week or two anymore.) I actually had a chart all lined up for this week, but I'm training for a triathlon and just started a new job, both of which are cutting into my writing time. I'll try to get one up soon, though. If I recall correctly, before Gary Marshall got his sappy little hands on it, “Pretty Woman” was a script called “$3,000″ and was to be a dark drama about drugs and prostitution that ended with the Gere character throwing the Roberts character out of his car.

Off topic, but whatever happened to Chart Attack? Stumbled across it a couple years ago from comments on another site doing a similar thing. Yours was better. Been hooked ever. Enjoyed lots of other stuff here. But Chart Attack was 'my first', and looked forward to every other Friday. I'm sure it took a lot of time/research, but it was always worth it- even when you did crappy '90s music.

Fun little personal fact: I got my first CD player in May of 1990 for my 13th birthday, along with a stack of CDs. The very first CD I opened was Pretty Woman. Sadly, I can never un-remember this. (Also in the stack: Richard Marx's Repeat Offender and Billy Joel's Songs in the Attic)

It's been ages since I've seen this movie, but what I recall at the time was that at least five or six of the songs are all heard within the first 15 minutes.
